The Bishop’s Committee of St. Boniface, in conjunction with the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas, has engaged The Reverend Ken Asel as our new vicar; his appointment began November 1.
Fr. Ken and his wife, Devvie, were a part of St. Boniface before their move to Colorado, and then returned to us this year. Before that, Fr. Ken was with the Episcopal Church in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
John Kenneth Asel, D. Min. comes highly experienced, having worked in churches throughout the United States as well as in the United Kingdom. He is a skilled leader in Congregational Development with special interests in Conflict Transformation; and is especially interested in areas of Contemporary Social Issues. A graduate of Vanderbilt University, he did his post-graduate work in divinity studies, earning masters and a doctorate from Seabury, Notre Dame, New Orleans and Notre Dame, Indiana.
Fr. Ken is accompanied by his lovely wife, Devvie, always with a cheerful “hello”. Devvie enjoys outdoor activities and they both enjoy skiing. We invite you to visit St. Boniface and experience the warmth and friendliness of our church. Services are at 11:00 a.m. on Sundays.
